Top chefs cooking for Community Gardens

TROY, NY -- The tireless chef/entrepreneur Larry Schepici is partnering with Capital District Community Gardens for a fundraising dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sepember 23, at Tosca, Schepici's flagship restaurant.

The event will feature 15 of the area’s biggest name chefs creating dishes using ingredients from several dozen local farms. It is one of the largest lineups of chefs from the region in recent memory.

In addition to Schepici -- also owner of the Illium Cafe and Tosca Etc. market as well as a catering service -- chefs Dale Miller (Dale Miller restaurant), Yono Purnomo (Yono's), Ric Orlando (New World Bistro Bar), Jaime Oritz (Angelo's 677 Prime), Scott Krause (Milano), Mark Graham (Mezza Notte), John Marzilli (Salty's Pub & Bistro), Swen Boehm (EATS Gourmet Marketplace), Michael Cocca (Franklin Plaza), Michael Cunningham and Patrica Dalton (Provence), Danny DeLorenzo (Parenzo's Aperitivo), Beth Duval (Illium Cafe), Un-Hui Filomeno (Avenue A), Paul Dolan (BOCES Culinary Program) and Harry Hatziparaskevas (Athos) are involved.


NOTES ON NAPKINS: Tickets are $75 for persons ages 21 to 35, $150 for 36 and up, or $250 per couple.
